Our family of five together by the sea

One family is looking for its tribe

We do not just want to travel.
We want to belong.

We are looking for families and people who do not confuse freedom with being alone. For a travelling tribe that grows, learns and truly lives together.

Why we are doing this

A free life is vast.
But alone, it remains too small.

We have built much of what freedom looks like from the outside. We travel. Our children learn without school. We shape our own daily lives.

And yet we feel it: real freedom begins where people are there for each other again. Not through a group chat. Not just for one weekend. But in real, sometimes uncomfortable and unexpectedly beautiful everyday life.

Where we are now

Thailand today.
Then heading north.

We currently live on Koh Phangan, the neighbouring island of Koh Samui in Thailand.

In the European spring, we first plan to return to Switzerland and Germany to visit family. From there, we are drawn further north to Scandinavia.

This is our direction, not a rigid itinerary. What matters is who we meet along the way.

01

Not an escape fantasy.
A life we step into.

We are not stepping out of life. We are stepping deeper into relationships, responsibility, nature, craft, play, the body and truth.

So we understand each other

For us, living freely means:
taking responsibility.

We are not looking to retreat into a romanticised hippie lifestyle or a community where others become responsible for our lives.

Every family is responsible for its financial foundation, food and daily life. We want mutual support – but not a mentality of being provided for.

We also want to deal maturely with our pain, conflicts and problems. We may hold each other without settling permanently into victimhood. Everyone remains willing to examine their own part and take their own next steps.

With food, we seek awareness rather than dogma. Whether someone eats vegan, vegetarian or animal products is not what matters. What matters is personal responsibility, respect and a natural, non-dogmatic way of living together.

What connects us

Our direction is clear.
The path emerges together.

01Hands planting a young tree

Nature, not scenery

We want to live outdoors, learn with our hands, feel the seasons and take responsibility for the place where we are.

02Families preparing a meal together

Village, not lone struggle

Children need many reliable people. Women need women. Men need men. And families need real people around them.

03Two people having an honest conversation

Honesty, not appearances

We are not looking for a perfect community. We are looking for people who show themselves, can handle friction and see conflict as an invitation to genuine connection.

04A father and child building with wood

Freedom with responsibility

For us, self-directed learning does not mean simply letting life happen. It means guiding with curiosity, leading by example and making real experiences possible.

Who we are

Five people.
One open invitation.

We are not finished, enlightened or always in agreement. We are a family on the way – ready to let our private circle grow into a larger “we”.

01Mike from the Just Flow Family

Mike 37

Initiator · Entrepreneur · Nature lover

I stand for radical honesty, physical strength and a way back to real connection – with our own bodies, nature and other people.

02Kristina from the Just Flow Family

Kristina 36

Mother · Co-visionary · Connecting women

I long for genuine encounters between women and mothers. A daily life in which we support each other, can truly be women and find our strength together – because family was never meant to be a solo project.

03Lenny from the Just Flow Family

Lenny 13

Explorer · Maker · Adventurer

Looking for peers and genuine male role models to build, fish, work with his hands and create with. Into real life.

04Jamila from the Just Flow Family

Jamila 3

Wild spirit · Player · World explorer

Wants to play freely in nature, belong and grow right in the middle of life – part of a real village instead of being managed in isolated childcare.

05Aylin from the Just Flow Family

Aylin 1

Our youngest tribe member

Right at the beginning. And part of everything from the very beginning.

Free play and learning beneath trees

Maybe we are looking for you

People who do not only think similarly – but want to live in a similar way.

  • Makers rather than spectators
  • Families drawn to nature and adventure
  • Women, men and children who want genuine relationships
  • People who bring freedom and commitment together

You do not have to be exactly like us. Our differences can enrich us. What matters is honesty, personal responsibility and a willingness to truly engage.

The first step

If something in you
says yes, we should talk.

No application form. No finished community concept. Just an honest conversation, person to person.
